How to provide Reach RS2+ with internet access via a SIM card

Reach RS2+ has a built-in LTE modem which allows you to access or broadcast corrections over NTRIP without relying on an internet connection on your phone. To provide your Reach RS2+ with internet access via the built-in modem, you should take the following steps:

  1. Insert a SIM card.
  2. Enable mobile data.

If you still cannot get access to the internet, you can check the following tips:

How to access the internet via the built-in LTE modem

  1. Make sure that the area where you work has proper cellular coverage.
  2. Some SIM cards may need manual activation to access services on the network. The process is usually performed to verify the subscriber’s identity and can be done online or in-store, depending on the network carrier.
  3. Make sure that you inserted your SIM card correctly.
  4. Some SIM cards require configuring APN settings to get internet access. If you are unsure of what your APN settings should be, please contact your network carrier.
  5. If you survey in the roaming zone, you might need to enable the Data roaming function in Mobile settings in the Emlid Flow app.

If this does not help, you can insert your SIM card into your mobile device to ensure it works correctly. Alternatively, you can check if Reach RS2+ works with another SIM card. If you still cannot access mobile data, contact us at support@emlid.com.
