Foxtech MAP-01 Time marks > pictures

Anyone using this camera with success?
I made first survey with MAP-01 camera and Reach, the log has 813 Time Marks but in the folder there are only 793 pictures.
In the past I had problems with loosing Time Marks but never had more.
The Reach version is 2.16.1, logging Glonass and QZSS at 5hz.
Thank you

How can I check the number of time marks in the raw log? i have no base to do PPK processing, just want to test time marks

Ok I processed the log in single mode, now I have:
922 Time Marks in the log
953 pictures
around 1 hour of log

after 2 years of succesful survey with cheap Canon S110 CHDK and simple photoresistor cable this is a bad “upgrade”

Hi,

Happened to me when I used my pixhawk 2.1 without emlid to trigger my RX100 mk4 and the delay between images was too short. Are you using the hotshoe signal cable?

Benjamin

Rhe map-01 has dedicated cables, has to be plug and play

No really plug and play, the Map-01 got 6 cables and the M+ 5 cables

Have a look here :

Foxtech

Yes but there’s no magic, easy to install, it works but no match, don’t know if it’s camera fault or reach

I will receive the Map-02 next week and let you know if I have the same problem

Thank you, I hope it works well

I want to flash an old firmware to try out but it seems there’s no way to download old fw, am I wrong?

I made a lot of testing, with the old camera too and the result is very bad, the latest 909 pics and only 174 time marks, but I am sure I have monitored the camera control page and it was working so the problem may be in rtkpost

How are you triggering the camera?

I have been using the Foxtech A7R and Reach M+ without any problems.
The camera is triggered with Pixhawk 2.1 via the Foxtech relay.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try the latest firmware though, will do so ASAP and let you know if I have any problems.

I have tested with the old Canon S110 and photoresistor that worked well for 2 years and it looses a lot of time marks, only output to pos file the latest 15 minutes of 1 hour but I am sure that it was logging becuase I was looking at the Camera page on the reach, so maybe it is a post processing problem or firmware

New RTKpost of the same gave me 906 time marks instead of 174 how can it happens?
Same Rinex log but different number of points only because of the post processing? This must be fixed, the number of the pictures must not change at all, even if there is not GPS signal

Hi @lanzo,

Could you please share your RINEX log with the wrong number of time marks?

It seems resolved, a friend sent me an old firmware (emlid does not) and with 2.11 it seems working well.
Now other problem, I have discovered that MAP-01 has a false hotshoe, it redirects the input pwm to generate a time Mark event, shame on Foxtech, i will never buy again from them

Hi @lanzo,

Glad to hear it works now. It’s interesting you resolved it in such way as v2.16.1 fixes a lot of issues with time marks and usually works much better in comparison with v2.11.

Please post logs with the wrong time marks number here so I can take a look to it.

It’s very strange, maybe the unit needed a compete reflash

What leads you to this conclusion ? Did you open the camera ? I am very interested as I planned to buy these cam. Thank you

All map-01 made before 20-9-2018 have “false” feedback, routed by the shutter, they offer modify if you send back, so you can buy it today with the new system, I know from foxtech support.
