Can 3g/4g usb dongle be connected to Reach module for internet

This figure in the documentation shows that Reach can be connected to a USB dongle for internet (3G/4G). But in some of the discussions, it is not so!

As the post linked above suggests it is plug and play:

Reach now includes drivers for USB modems. You can configure the modem on your PC and then just plug it in your Reach via the OTG cable. Overall, usage should be seamless, but Linux might not support every device you try. We’ve had a chance to try the following two models: ZTE MF 823 and Huawei E171. Feel free to share your results, so we can expand the list of tested modems.

i have the same problem. I use a reach with the last update but the Reach do not connect to my Huawei 3372 Hi-Link Stick. The stick is suitably configured, if i put him into my pc, he is immideatly connected to the internet.
Is the stick connekted to my reach… the stick is online, show a steady lamp and it is possible to ping over the intel edison. But the reach software get no connection to all my basis and show no map in the status page.
