After two days and 3 computers, I was able to get the updates installed. I decided the update was getting installed. After updating I was getting the screen as shown above with the firmware not detected and the last two items greyed out. I selected finish and rebooted the reach.
I connected to the local network and added in my WIFI. This was where most of my problem was occurring - the reach would say it was switching networks, but then switch to its local network shortly after. I kept connecting to my local WIFI and after about 5-6 tries it connected and I was able to install the upgrades.
My second reach upgraded as well - it took a few attempts to get it on the network, but then proceeded okay.
I was using the cables supplied by Emlid. The computer that finally worked was an older Dell laptop running Windows10. I had tried my desktop (Windows10) and another Lenovo Laptop running a dual boot of Windows10 and Windows7.
