Happy Friday All! So I know about the RX compatibility with Pix4D Capture, but I am very interested in simply being able to take pictures with accurate geotags. I am not a fan of Pix4D and would much rather process this kind of data locally so I have complete control. This could have huge implications for the construction industry as Catch is still in it’s infancy in our world and honestly it is overkill and far too expensive for what it does. These would not be big data sets and I will render a guess of average captures of 40-50 photos. We do not even necessarily need auto-capture. That feature on Catch is horrible and very hard to control efficiently. It would be preferrable to capture imagery individually from controlled angles. Food for thought.
yep. Simple app to assign the position from the RX to the image exif, or even a reference file. DJI’s been doing it for a decade. Someone should be able to step up.
Try REDcatch RTK Camera app. It works with RX
Is it only for Android?
I think so. The big things for me is that it does not use mock location and the paid version gives greater accuracy in the output.
You can also have a look at 3dsurvey.si rtk videogrammetry. Works with ardu simple and android devices
Hi @michaelL
Welcome to our community forum,
I’ve noted your suggestions and shared them with our development team as feature requests. But I agree with @kevin.hainsworth. You can use REDcatch RTK Camera app as another option.
If you have any more suggestions in the future, do let me know.
Agreed. Now I just need to find an Android with a decent camera!
That looks sweet! Thank you.
Just tried the RTK Camera app on a Pixel 7 and before I could get a chance I couldn’t get the RX to connect to bluetooth. Anyone else using a Pixel?
From my experience, the Tripltek is the best tablet I’ve ever own and the brightest.
12GB RAM / 256 GB Storage
4K-48MP Camera
Hyper-Engine 8 Core CPU (70% faster than T8)
12,200 mAh Large Battery
I’ve intentionally kept the apps to a minimum to maintain its performance. I know the price is kinda high but it’s well worth it to me.
