I will be travelling internationally and collecting LiDAR data of forest structure with a DJI L2 and DJI M350. I want to PPK my data - but will not have good cellular or internet coverage (so no NTRIP). I plan on setting up my Reach RS3 to collect static base data, and use the RINEX file from that to PPK my images and LiDAR data. Has anyone tried this or is there a workflow for this procedure? Thank you!
Using PPK is a good idea since you’ll be without solid cellular coverage. You can set up the RS3 as a base, record the log, and then process it with your drone logs in Emlid Studio.
The DJI M350 is RTK-capable, so you can follow this guide. Emlid Studio will also help you convert your drone logs to RINEX. You’ll need to rename .RTK file to. RTCM3. Michael shared one of our answers with more details.
Safe travels and good luck with your project! We’re all here to help, so feel free to ask any questions.
