Mounting Multi-band GNSS antenna

Any suggestions for how to mount the Multi-band GNSS antenna to some sort of monopod?

Hi @louis,

Usually rods and pods have the 5/8" thread our RS* models have. Do I understand that you have M+ or M2?

We have a guide about antenna placement, but maybe I can recommend something more specific. Can you please give me some details about your setup and what you want to achieve in the end?

Hi Zoltan. I have the M2. I just want to be able to mount it on an extendable pole/monopod or something similar. I have figured out a way to jerryrig it myself but was wondering if there were any official items that used the M4 thread so I could hide the chord.

@louis,

We don’t have any official poles for the antenna. These accessories are designed to be mounted mainly on drones. You can look around in other M2 related threads here, our users are making some quite unique designs, like this DIY mount for tribach.

Hi Zoltan. I am having trouble finding schematics for the ANT107 antenna for the M2. Could you tell me what thread size and how far apart the mounting points are? I am currently away from the office and can’t access the unit we have. I need to design a special support for one of our products. Thanks!!

If you’re using the M2 for typical land surveying work, use this on top of the survey pole.

You can put the receiver in a hip bag along with the power source and hang off the bipod. I don’t use the M2 as often as I like, but it’s very convenient to me. If you get a large hip bag, everything can fit in it.
