Few Satellites in RS2

Luis,

May I ask you if you’ve contacted your NTRIP provider regarding this issue?

If you received the corrections via the Internet, it’d seem like the issue happened because the base station stopped sending the Galileo corrections.

Hi Luis,

I’m afraid I might have misunderstood your previous comment. Let me correct myself.

As I can see now, when the Galileo signal drops on the base, you establish the communication between Reach RS2 base and Reach RS2 rover via the Internet through the YouCORS service. Also, while establishing the connection via the LoRa radio, you reported to not receive the Galileo signal at all.

However, to determine the issue, there is a need for more information. May I ask you to conduct the following tests on v2.21.2?

  1. Record logs on both rover and base for 20 minutes while establishing communication via LoRa radio following this guide.

Please, make sure you choose GPS+GLONASS+Galileo constellations on both base and rover in “RTK Settings” tab. Also, please choose the following RTCM3 messages on the base:

  • 1006 ARP station coordinates on 0.1 Hz
  • 1074 GPS MSM4 1 Hz
  • 1084 GLONASS MSM4 1 Hz
  • 1094 Galileo MSM4 1 Hz
  1. Record logs on both base and rover for 20 minutes while establishing the connection via the Internet through the YouCORS service.

Please, record the logs separately from the previous tets.

Also, I’d ask you to choose the same GPS+GLONASS+Galileo constellations on both base and rover in “RTK Settings” tab and the same RTCM3 messages on the base mentioned above.

Please, post the logs here. It’d be of great help to understand what causes the issue.

Right! Next week I will do what you have indicated and I will send you the LORA and NTRIP files separately. Thank you very much Luis

Hi

YouCORS do not transform or filter base station data in any way. So what you send is what you get. Some day we will add some transformation options for most popular formats, but for now, its just a pipe.

Hi Polina, sorry for the delay. I attach two Lora and Ntrip files, each file contains base data and rover each Ntrip and Lora for 20 minutes. I did not see problems of lack of satellites, you will know how to interpret them. Thank you very much

Hi Luis,

Thanks for the logs!

We’ll look into them and get back with the news

Hi Luis,

Sorry for the delayed response!

I’ve looked into your logs and I can’t see any issues with them. It seems like for the both tests all the satellite systems were transmitted correctly from the base to the rover.

Please, if this issue occurs again, post all the logs from the base and from the rover. Also, please, generate the Full Systems Reports on both units. This would be of great help for us to determine the source of the issue.

Hi Polina! Again the satellite cut in the RS2 Base in a PPK survey, the base was in a high place without interference of any kind, it is as if the GPS receiver had turned off. The software version is the last 2.21.2. I made two surveys of more than 10 hours on two different days, one day without cutting and another day the file cut.

I noticed that you have disabled the Galileo system constellation at 10:56 and you have restarted logging with a new configuration. I advise you not to touch the configuration like enabling or disabling of system constellation after starting the recording.

@Zinou Hi Zinou I have not disabled Galileo or I have touched anything in the GPS, it is a problem of f9p or firmware and they go twice that happens. Look at my previous posts

Hi Luis,

Do I understand correctly that the logs and the Sytem report are from the rover? May I ask you to upload the data from the base as well?

@dmitriy.ershov @polina.buriak @tatiana.andreeva Dimitri, I do not receive any response to this problem and you should answer about it. I need to know if there is a solution or I have to go back to another reliable GPS. Already they go twice that the recording of the data is cut, once in the base and again in the rover there is something that does not work. Hours of work and not being able to use the data is a major problem for me

Above are the base and rover links

Hi Luis,

We’ll report back as soon as we check the logs. However, it may take some time. There’s no need in tagging us in the post as we check all threads.

Hi dmitriy It is the second time I send files for this problem
Thank you

Verify several surveys with different versions of rechview for RS2
1- 2.20.8 many cuts in the base file and rover.
2- 2.21.1 base and rover there are no cuts in the file.
3- 2.21.2 base and rover occasional cuts not always
