I am writing to share my experience with the Emlid devices we purchased in my country. Despite our enthusiasm for the equipment, we encountered significant issues due to high temperatures. The devices were reaching temperatures of 65 degrees, which caused them to turn off and adversely affected performance.
Unfortunately, we did not receive any working solutions from Emlid regarding these issues. In light of this, we took matters into our own hands and installed heat sinks on all devices. This modification successfully kept the temperature under 60 degrees, preventing shutdowns and enhancing performance. We have been able to use the devices for up to 10 hours a day since 2021.
It seems that adopting a trial-and-error approach may be more effective than extensive discussions.
