Hey @minotminot
I will try to reproduce the same issue on my end. I will get back to you here with what I find, and see what we can do to go around this.
So, I was able to reproduce this and had the same results. This is expected, and let me explain why.
In Emlid Flow, codes are assigned to a point or a line. So, when you create the polygon out of these points, a new code will be generated since it’s technically a closed line. In your case, it was L1. Generally, combining points into a line, whether closed or open, rewrites the original point codes and assigns a new code to that line. Therefore, the previous point codes, in your case being SW, are not preserved when creating or deleting a line or polygon.
I hope this clarifies things!
Not sure how I feel about this. So we are decimating the integrity of the survey by wiping out the code/description? The point is the data, the line is a convenience. What if it was an offset? Then you no longer know that? The office pulls up the project in Flow360 and they see a mess.
@keith.mwangi thanks for looking into this
