Which external compass to use

Hi,

Is there a prefered external compass model we should be using with the Navio2?

What is the maximum cable length I can get for the I2C interface ?

Also are there any plans to support compasses like the IMU Brick V2? which has a usb interface?
The IMU Brick v2 + reach would make an awesome combination
