What is the Aerial Socket for?

What is the Aerial Socket for on the Reach board? If I add a antenna here will it improve the Wifi range? Or is the Wifi also going out via the GPS antenna ?

Thanks for this find, very interesting link on there! So it seems it might work to improve the range with the little hack. Now to see if I have the nerve to try it :slight_smile:
