You can either enter WGS84 latitude and longitude or ECEF XYZ coordinates.

so i can convert to decimal degrees or convert to ECEF, after converting from nad83 to wgs84, neither of which are surveyor/engineer friendly or intuitive in the field for placing a project on state plane coordinates. on the plus side it’s great for my drone.

I had this same issue, entering manual base coordinates…
I think that the issues is that the coordinates know are int lat long alt are in degrees and not decimal units.
When converted using online calculator the same error happened with me
