Hello there!
You can always check the version of a pre-installed Debian package by running apt-cache show on the package.
The preinstalled ROS version is Kinetic and as far as I remember the mavros version is 0.18.3.
Here’s the mavros repository. Feel free to clone it and compile the latest version.
