Michael, I like these gets me thinking. The site I was on was extremely rough, enough to rip shell off the truck and lose a few teeth. My concern was stripping the brass factory thread off the unit bouncing around so much. It held but is definitely a weak spot on these units like this thread:
I see Emlid produces a dampener but still $ and looks. Now a dampener with quick disconnect capacity would be slick. Perhaps splitting this topic is in order as we are drifting from original post…
