Staking out polygons - pushing this feature again

Hi all!

I recently have been staking out a lot of polygons and using the points and lines only gets you N-1 sides of your N sided polygon. I’ve seen it mentioned here before and I want to raise it again that a polygon stakeout feature would be very useful and only a minor extension of the lines where the last point needs to link back to the first point.

Depending on the level of spaghetti code in the app, this may be trivial, or it may be very simple, but it would be very useful.

This is funny, because if you import a polygon from either a SHP or DXF, it is closed; but if you want to do the same manually, you can’t.

So should be trivial for Emlid to include the ability to close a polygon.

Hi guys,

Working with polygons in Emlid Flow is on our roadmap, but I can’t give an ETA for it.

But once we have any updates about it, I’ll make sure to share it with you!

hi guys I also would love to see this feature. I did get a temporally way to get around it, maybe it was a fluke but I recreated the two points that weren’t closed and then created a line between these two, It did work for me for what I wanted but maybe not for you. worth a shot. if it was a simple closed polygon this would save me a lot of time too make boundaries for farmers and other cool and wonderful things
hopefully the image below loads to show you I did get it too work

Hi Sean,

Thank you for sharing your request for polygon support! I see how it would come in handy. I’ll register it as +1, too.

Hi guys,

I have some good news to share! From Emlid Flow 11.3, the app supports working with closed polygons.

This feature is part of our Survey Plan. To try it out, you can start a 30-day free trial. Any feedback is really appreciated!
