Having issues sourcing an SP Connect case for my new Iphone 16 Pro - can I use a universal SP Connect adapter to mount my phone to the scanner kit with the emlid reach rx that I have? Will this mess with the calibration or settings when doing scanning?

Yeah, you’ll need the specific sp case for the right iPhone. Otherwise you’ll need to measure and input the offsets each and every time.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro with a claw mount, manually entered the measurements and do not have to enter them every time?
Meant here that unless you can remount the phone with ultra repeatability, you’ll need to remeasure.
And the measuring itself isn’t straight forward.
In my opinion, just buy the dedicated cover for the given phone model. The hassle and potential uncertainty isn’t worth it.

You can use the custom SP Connect Adapter and enter a custom camera offset. Simply attach the adapter to the pole, measure the offset, and enter it under the Custom Value. I agree with Christian; you need to be careful with it since you would need to measure it and remeasure it if the adapter is placed again. Pix4D has a guide on measuring the offset manually, which you can find helpful.
