Sinognss

hello
can emlid RS2 connect with sino gnss T300 via lora

Dont know, but probably not as LoRa only works among Emlid products.

Can the Sinognss connect via NTRIP, if so, try that.

Hi @sahatmanikesri,

Welcome back to the forum!

The Emlid LoRa radio can communicate only with another Emlid LoRa radio as we use a specific protocol. To work with Reach RS2 and SinoGNSS T300, you’ll need a couple of external LoRa for both receivers. You can connect the radio to the Reach RS2 via an external bottom connector.

I concur with @timd1971. You can use Reach RS2+ as a base and free Emlid Caster as a way to send the corrections to your rover. This setup works only if SinoGNSS T300 can send or get the corrections over NTRIP. Also, both units should be connected to the Internet.

If you want to use SinoGNSS T300 as a base, you need to check what RTCM messages it provides. To calculate a solution, Reach needs at least the Reference Station ARP (1006) and the GPS observation data (1004, 1074, 1075, or 1077) messages.

I see SinoGNSS T300 has UHF radio… maybe get the new RS3 with built in UHF “RECEIVE ONLY” and extra UHF antenna to use as ROVER and receive corrections from the Sino? The Sino may also be L1 L2 and L5 capable… so the RS3 rover may not be able to take advantage of that extra L5 etc.

Would assume Emlid’s next model may or should HOPEFULLY have “at least” L5 beyond L1& L2, built-in UHF radios that can BOTH SEND and RECEIVE, hot swappable dual batteries, better bullet-proof durability, better future-proof cellular, built in camera for 3D AR functionality, photo record, LiDAR and/or EDM for offset distancing where canopy work just will not permit even multi-band gnss. Did I miss anything? Can only hope. :yum:
