I have been able to set the parameters in the new Coordinate Reference System option in Reach view successfully. I was able collect data for some previously surveyed beacons using my RS+ with the manually set Coordinate Reference. The results obtained are consistent with those obtained from surveys done in 1996, 2000, and 2003 by Theodolite. Using EPSG 2004 does not take into account the shift in X,Y,Z so I am quite pleased to be able to enter these parameters for myself.
We need to understand where this shift comes from. I’ve just checked that EPSG:2004 uses the British West Indies grid. Was the grid updated? If so, probably there is the newest coordinate system that isn’t supported in ReachView 3 yet?
