Saved Emlid M2 Timestamp positions to EXIF with no corrections

I have a Mettatech PPK kit with M2 receiver. My plan is to use PPK where available (3rd part base station).

I am assuming that the GPS positions on the M2 will be more accurate than the GPS positions recorded on my Phantom 4 Pro V2.

If i dont have a base station available for PPK, is there a way to write the M2 timestamp coordinates the the drone EXIF?

When in Single mode (the mode that it will be in when without corrections), you’ll probably find that positions won’t be much better than what the drone itself can do. You’ll be within 2.5-3 meters of error.

The flow in i.e. Emlid Studio will be the same as with corrections.

I see, so when it says Accuracy 0.2 and 0.3 it isn’t absolute accuracy?

No, it is RMS (so ~67 % error circle) comparing a running average position with the position.

Hi there,

I just wanted to add to this that Reach M2 can only record the time marks to the raw data log. You’ll need to use it for post-processing in subsequent geotagging.
