I am experiencing an issue where my RS3 is rover is losing fix after I cross a certain straight line in the survey area. Bringing the base closer doesn’t seem to resolve the issue. There is no visible object at that line. I am guessing this be an interference issue? I am conducting a survey on a roof, so I am wondering if this could be caused by something inside the building.
Any thoughts on how to obtain a fix again would be great. Thanks!
Send pix and coords of the outside survey area. Since you know where this invisible line of NO FIX is you can estimate where it may be inside the building to see what may be causing the interference? Probably high power electrical lines or equipment causing EMI / RFI.
That’s a tricky issue. Since you consistently lose a fix at the same spot with no visible obstacles, interference seems like a strong possibility. Could something on the roof be causing it—like electrical equipment, antennas, or heavy machinery?
I see Tim already asked for coordinates or photos of the survey area. Also, have you recorded any raw data logs during the survey? That might give us a better idea of what’s going on with the satellite signals and corrections.
