Hey folks,
Just picked up an Emlid RS3 to run as a rover, as there’s no subscription requirements.
Been trying to receive corrections over NTRIP via Bluetooth from our Trimble R750 CORS. We have set up a RTCM 3.3 NTRIP Caster, which sends correction signals through to the receiver. However, I am unable to get the unit to leave float, and the best accuracy I’ve been able to obtain is about 10CM-H x 50CM-V (which who knows how accurate that actually is). When it’s not liking float, it sticks to single mode, and has never gone to a fixed solution.
Additionally, it seems to continuously reset the connection:
Single to float, accuracy begins increasing immediately. Once it hits sub-METER, it loses lock and resets to upwards of 10 meters. This process repeats every few seconds in a continuous loop.
Does it matter which MSM I’m outputting from the base? Is there something I’m missing in either software that’s stopping the fix from occurring?
GNSS Update Rate has been tested at both 5 & 10Hz, with 5 producing better, though still insufficient results.
Base mode is turned off. Only one streamer is active (Bluetooth).
NMEA is enabled back to the CORS.
Firmware updated to V32.
FYI, we also grabbed a Reach RX which connected and fixed within about 3 seconds of initial setup. Is this possibly a unit issue or am I just an idiot?
Please help.
