What is the maximum rate of GPS date supplied by RS2 using NTRIp corrections by internert?
Hi @ctubio,
Welcome to our community!
The maximum update rate for Reach RS2 is 10 Hz. You can apply it in Emlid Flow under Settings → GNSS settings → GNSS update rate.
Is there any loss of performance or handicap if I use the higher rate, 10 hz?
Is there a reason for using a lower frequency that is not motivated by the lack of processing power of the PC or microprocessor?
Hi @ctubio,
Working with a GNSS update rate of 10 Hz won’t affect the battery’s operation in any way. However, as it doesn’t improve the survey’s accuracy, we usually recommend using the default value of 5 Hz.
Sorry Kornel but I do not understand the 5Hz recommendation. For my application in a mobile robot I need the most rate. And the most the better if the most have not handicaps.
Hi @ctubio,
Sorry if my words were confusing. Using an update rate of 10 Hz doesn’t have any downsides. If it’s more beneficial for your particular workflow, it’s fine. You’re good to go with it.
