RS2 BT connection unstable with Samsung Galaxy Tab 7

I am trying to send NMEA data input to my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 SM-T500 over BT connection using Reach RS2 running Reachview3 V6.12 firmware 28.1. Connection appears to be unstable (see screenshots from Lefebure NTRIP client)

Hi Keo,

Thanks for reporting!

We had a few reports about the issues with the Bluetooth stream on some Samsung devices. Mostly, the Bluetooth connection became unstable after the Android security patch updates installation. We released 28.1 Reach Firmware with a fix for it.

But I see that the issue persists for your Samsung Galaxy Tab A7. Did you notice when this issue with the stream appeared on your device? Can you please send the Full system report from your RS2 to support@emlid.com?

Hi Iiudmila,
Yep, I noticed the other reports and installed the firmware update, but that didn’t resolve the issue, unfortunately. I first noticed the issue on December 17th, and I updated my tablet on the 16th at 3:30pm EST.
I’ll send the full system report now.
Thanks!
Keo

Keo,

Thanks! I’ve shared the report with the devs. They will look into it.

Hi Keo,

I’m back to share some good news with you! We released the new version of the firmware—Reach Firmware 28.2 that contains the fix for the unstable Bluetooth connection. Please, update your Reach and test how it works for you now. It’d be nice to hear your feedback.

Hello there! I just wanted to come back and say that I’ve updated my devices’ firmware to 28.2 and the Bluetooth connection is now stable. Thank you so much for your support on this issue.

Keo
