Hello! I want to find out an information about what is difference between RS+ and RS2.
RS+ is L1 only, holds a shorter baseline, And takes longer to fix.
The RS2 is L1/L2, can work on a 100km baseline, and fixes in seconds.
If you can get the RS2, its a real nice unit.
Hi Giorgi,
Agree with @PotatoFarmer: the main difference between the units is that Reach RS2 is a multi-band receiver and Reach RS+ is a single-band receiver. It leads to a number of differences performance-wise:
-
Reach RS2 maintains stable performance even in somewhat challenging conditions while Reach RS+ requires a clear sky view
-
Reach RS2 obtains the first Fix in a matter of a few seconds while Reach RS+ needs a couple of minutes
-
Reach RS2 provides longer baselines (up to 60 km in RTK and 100 km in PPK)
Iād suggest checking out our Single-band vs Multi-band guide. There we describe these differences in detail.
Thank you! Everything is clear
