Anyone have experience with replacing the LoRa antenna with something with a little more umph? Like this TI.18 868MHz 3.2dBi Terminal Antenna SMA(M) Hinged - Taoglas ?
I know I can get more powerful ones, but it still needs to be portable.

No but Taoglas make some impressive fibreglass external antennas.
Although they are pretty huge - both gain wise and size wise 
This guy has been playing around with antennas for his LoRAWAN gear…
