Starting from the assumption that I got that from Reach View 2.22 the root access is no more given I tried to ssh into my Reach RS device using reach:reach user:password login.

We don’t provide root access anymore. You can check out this Tatiana’s explanation why:

Once you change anything in Reach software, it’s becoming difficult to predict how Reach and ReachView will perform. In this case, we can’t see the whole picture on what’s going on with Reach device and we can’t predict how the things you’re running on Reach may affect its operation. Every time we add new features or fixes, we thoroughly test the code for a long time to make sure it’s stable and…

So I’m afraid you can reboot your unit only through the Settings tab in the ReachView app.

Are older firmware versions available somewhere in order to revert back our devices ?

There is no supported way to downgrade your firmware version to the previous ones.
