ReachView app won't register wifi network

Before creating a new thread please refer to Quickstart guides for Reach and Reach RS.

In case you are creating a thread about an issue it is necessary to provide following information to get help:

  1. Firmware image and ReachView version.
  2. System report.
  3. Detailed problem description. How does observed behavior differ from the expected one?
  4. Your step by step actions.
  5. Picture of the setup and connection scheme.
  6. If using any additional hardware please provide exact make and model.

When I try to “save” the wifi network after entering name and password, the app displays an error message in red “lost connection with Reach…” and does not register the wifi network in the app. I can’t get past this point in the set up of brand new RS+ hardware.

  • latest app version downloaded.
  • new Reach RS+ unit right out of the box and charged
  • following forum doc instructions and video tutorial to the letter

That doesn’t address the issue. In the app, the wifi network will not be recognized, therefore the setup stalls at that stage.

Could you try a web browser on mobile device or laptop to check if it allows to pass Wi-Fi setup step?
