Reach RS+ tests with external UHF radio (450 MHz)

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Also, does Emlid know of an appropriate external antenna that could increase range for the LoRa base radio?. I am thinking of a large omni-direction antenna on its own tripod that can be extended several meters in the air while connected to the Base. This alone could increase the range while avoiding a separate external UHF radio system. Thoughts?

Hi @l3technologycambodia,

In the meantime, we don’t have any plans on the external radio system.

The default LoRa settings usually work fine for our customers operating in different areas and conditions. Considering the fact that you can’t reach the baseline in 2 km, I assume that there is either the factor of the local environment or something with configuration/hardware setup.

It means sometimes you need to tune the settings to extend the LoRa range.

May I ask you to share configurations you use for LoRa? Can you please describe the area where you experience the issue?

Hi @ak_schaef,

Omni-direction antenna should work with Reach LoRa, however, I barely can suggest you any models.
