Hi Joseph!

You can use the setup for the land survey. However, note that Reach M+ is not designed for it. So, you will need to purchase a LoRa radio module, GNSS antenna, and external power source additionally to make the setup work. Please note, that it may also be hard to mount Reach M+ with all the above-mentioned equipment on a survey pole.

My M2’s work great as static. See below for homemade mount for the helical antenna. I’ve since bought antennas that are in NGS calibrated models. I keep receiver and battery in blue bag hanging from bipod.

Post-processing Reach M2 files with OPUS

New here on the community, long time land surveyor for 40+ years; been using GPS since late 80’s. Just bought me a M2 and plan on using as a cheap base receiver to shorten observation lines with other well-known receiver brands. I’ve found out in my use of GPS/GNSS receivers, that it pays to have short baselines. Also OPUS is awful picky in their observation data that’s submitted.
