Reach logging bash commands

I have established an ssh connection over USB and can browse the directories, give commands to the reach and get the log files through stfp for post processing. The reach opens a new log file and starts logging as soon as it boots up. For our application, we need to be able to start and stop the logging when we want. Are there any bash commands that control logging?
