The only update that would be visible to the users is that we have added uptime in the System report. Other updates besides AoD are minor, and you shouldn’t see any difference in the RX’s work.

We have released the new version of Reach RX Firmware - 1.6.
It adds MFi (Made for iPhone/iPad) support for the new revision of the Reach RX receivers.
This new release is available in the Reach Firmware Flash Tool!

As Alexey mentioned earlier, this version introduces the MFi support for a new batch of Reach RX.

What does the change to Made For iPhone do for us?
As in, what can we now do, that we couldn’t do before?

For the users with RX MFi (the unit has an MFi mark on its bottom), this update allows them to connect to third-party applications on iOS using Bluetooth. There are no updates for the revision without MFi.

Unfortunately, Qfield does not work with the Emlid RX under iOS.

Welcome to the community!
You’re right. Since the QField doesn’t support the Bluetooth connection from their side, you can’t connect RX to the application using iOS device. In this case you would still need to use Android.
