Questions about long distance communication

i know when i do the guidelines in the Quickstart ,i can use the rover’s hotpot by my laptop to connect to it .
but when the rover is very far, how can i get the position information of the rover?

And i want to know, in the long distance application ,if 2 3DR radio is necessary(for base and rover)?

Communication between base and rover is not necessary, so radios are not necessary. You just collect the log files afterward and post-process them (usually called PPK).

However if you want real-time results (for RTK), then you need real-time communication. Usually that is done with radios (like 3DR), but it could be WiFi, or cellular, etc.

now i have understood how to use it, really thank u ,bide!
