Navio2 Power Module Connection

Hello,

I’m unsure about the correction connection orientation of the power module.

Which end is connected to the battery and which end is connected to the power distribution board ?

The picture of my power module is shown below:

The options are:

  • Option 1
Power Module XT-60 Male (Right side on the img) – connected to → battery
Power Module XT-60 Female (Left side on the img) – connected to → power distribution board

  • Option 2
Power Module XT-60 Male (Right side on the img) – connected to → power distribution board
Power Module XT-60 Female (Left side on the img) – connected to → battery

I assume Option 1 is the correct one, can someone confirm please ?

Thanks.

Hi @mchawa,

I’ve found a post with a question similar to yours - New to Navio: Building an Rover - #8 by Josh1. Please check the recommendation there.

I really can’t find the answer in this post, specially that the power module in the post you shared looks different from the one I have (I think different revisions).

I’ve found the Common Power Module guide. I think it can be useful in this case.

There should be an arrow on the PCB. My assumption is the arrow (OUT) should go to the power distribution board.

Actually it’s very dependent on the revision. The general answer the arrow is always pointing from the battery end to the PDB end.

E.g.:
→ : battery → PDB
← : PDB ← battery

Thanks.
