We recently had 3 drones swapped out under the DJI care platform as our current drones were having irregularities with the camera, nothing super serious, but it was driving me crazy. DJI just gave us new drones rather than repairing the old ones. No biggie. These new drones are giving the worst residuals I have ever seen. I was used to seeing extremely tight checks on targets. These last few flights have been nightmarish trying to fix data. I thought it was the one drone, or the Trimble base station, or the RTK or the PPK but nothing is working how it should. I’ve confirmed that 2 of 3 drones are showing the same behaviour. The only thing I can think of is the firmware issues on the drones? I’ve been doing this for years and never had issues like this.
Hi Mark,
Do you use Reach to collect GCPs? If so, could you share your workflow, such as how you set up the base? Also, could you share the camera accuracy window from the Metashape?
Thanks!

If you are sure about your gcp’s accuracy then maybe you had connection issues between the RC and the M3? Is the accuracy of the cameras correct e.g. 1-2cm?
Do you collect the gcp’s using the same base station as in Mavic 3E?
Maybe you had dewarp turned on?
Maybe you fly too fast?
There are a lot of possible issues.
If 2 of the 3 drones you have behave that way I would talk to the dealer for a replacement.
Firmware as of now hadn’t caused problems for me (Mavic 3E).
