Log File Lost During Compression

Hey guys. I’m trying to figure out how to solve this problem:

A Reach receiver is powered off before a log file finishes compressing.

When this happens, the log file is no longer visible. I suspect the data is still on the device, it is just not visible in Emlid Flow. Based on what I’ve read on this forum, you used to be able to log in directly to the device to recover the file, but that access has been removed.

Is there another way to recover a file lost during compression? It really sucks if this gets dorked up after collectin several hours of data.

On a related note, it would be great if the head would auto-store current log files before the battery dies. I’ve lost data that way too.

I’m using Emlid Reach RS 2 receivers and the latest versoin of Emlid Flow on an Android mobile device. I’m logging Rinex data.

Thanks!

Landon

Hi Landon,

Welcome to our community!

Can you please generate a full system report of your Reach RS2 and send it to me? I’ll check what’s going on with the logs. As it may contain sensitive information, you can email it to support@emlid.com.
