They are joined together inside the Reach, so you could join them together if you want to do that.
That is the purpose of the power input line: to charge the internal battery.

Thanks Bide! it would be good if it was a direct feed to extend the battery life. Once the battery is charged it drifts to the external battery.
A 3 amp inline fuse for any power inputs, to save any ‘BBQ moments’.
