Installing RASPBIAN STRETCH

Hello Navio2 user here.

For some reasons I need to upgrade to the latest and greatest of Raspbian including latest ROS. I do not need the ardu*/autopilot stuff.
Would like to know If i install the Raspbian stretch would the examples for developers still work out of the box?
