How to install AC3.5rc5 on Navio2? Have tried and not succeeded

I followed trhe instructions here (https://docs.emlid.com/navio2/common/ardupilot/building-from-sources/) to try to get the latest AC beta on my existing Navio2 with AC3.4.6, all the steps went ok but it still shows version 3.4.6, not sure what could be going wrong…
Do I have to install AC3.5rc5 on top of the AC3.4.6 that comes with the image or can I delete the entire existing ardupilot directory and install AC3.5rc5 from scratch?? thank you

thanks you , cant believe was as simple as replacing the arducopter file from the ardupilot build repo!!! am running AC3.5rc6 now, no issues after 3 flights.
