How to connect from outside local network?

I have activated the functionality to connect to Emlid Reach RS2 from outside the local network.

I use simcard on the RS2 and have the IP address.

But how do I connect?

Does it also work when the RS2 are connected to a WiFi?

The “outside”-function is only for the Sim-card.
Just paste the IP into a browser, and it should come up.

This functionality will likely not work on a Wifi, as there would a router with a firewall installed. However, the firewall can be opened for the right address & port, making it possible.

Hi Christian,

I already tried to copy the IP from the RS2 simcard into the browser, but without any luck :frowning:

Hi Andreas,

But how do I connect?

Please make sure with your provider that you got the Static IP address. You also need to enable the “Public Access” function in ReachView Settings.

Does it also work when the RS2 are connected to a WiFi?

You can connect to Reach RS2 when it’s working in a hotspot mode only.
