Hi,
I plan to switch to Emlid GNSS receivers but before I place the order, I was wondering, what is the number of digits for the latitude and longitude in the NMEA GGA Stream?
Usually, in RTK we configure our receivers to get at least 7 digits in order to get sub-centimeter resolution.
Thank you.
Hi @rreignier,
Welcome to the community forum!
NMEA stream from Reach receivers consists of several messages. GNGGA message has 7 decimal places in the latitude and longitude values.
Reach receivers don’t require this configuration to establish an RTK-link. To obtain a centimeter-level accuracy, you need to set up the corrections output/input in the ReachView app. This will automatically calculate the Fix solution if all the placement requirements are met. Please check the Base and Rover setup guide for more details.
