Gstreamer: Send text messages to display and overlay it on already playing some contents/video

I am checking feasibility to send text message on TV screen while already playing some videos.

In short, I want to play a video using gstreamer and then I want to send some text messages to the screen (text overlay) randomly or say dynamically.

Please suggest If someone having any idea on this.
