Does anyone know if its possible to use OpenCPN as the ground control?
I am tinkering with the idea of making my 32’ sailboat autopilot work with the Navio2 unit.
OpenCPN allows for many interfaces of other equipment that I need to navigate on the open seas. I could simply buy another autopilot but what is the fun of that…
Another thought is navigations systems are power hungry. I do have a gasoline engine to propel the boat when the weather is not cooperating and to charge the batteries but I want to run the entire navigation system off of solar power.
If anyone would like to help out with this project I would post more information on what I am attempting to accomplish…
