Feature request for REACH: add buttons to REACHView that run shell scripts

It would be utterly awesome if there were web UI buttons in REACHView that run shell scripts when pressed.

For instance, for button Shell1, it runs /home/reach/shell1.sh and so on.

This would allow us to easily run tasks like setting up and tearing down SSH tunnels, or clearing out filesystems, or copying files off to some server, etc.

Thanks in advance if you guys do this!

We’ll see what we can do. Feature request added to the task list.

Thanks. It would also be nice to have a graceful shutdown button that runs a shutdown script that people can customize and that won’t get wiped by a REACH upgrade. (I would personally add graceful SSH tunnel teardown commands to this script.) I understand there already is a Reboot button, but Shutdown is also useful.

And for the Reboot button, it would also be nice to insert a script that it runs before reboot too (a script that won’t get wiped by a REACH upgrade).
