I want to create a monitoring network using about 15 Reach RS. However, I want to leave them in the field and return after about a month. Do you think this would be possible using solar cells? Thanks.
Yes, I believe you could use the optional Reach RS cable to hook your solar array straight into the 5 to 40 Volt input in the bottom and probably not even need a solar charge controller!
Reach RS will only take what energy it needs to keep it’s battery charged.

@bide seems about right. Just check if your solar cells provide enough power to keep the system charged.
To connect a external battery, I have to use the pin 2 (negative) and pin 9 (positive) from the Extantion Cable… correct?
