Emlid Reach Rx broken housing due to fall

I want to know if you had the service to change the Emlid RX housing o if you can sell it for local exchange. But I don’t know if it will require some calibration for the impact with the concrete floor.

Im in Dominican Republic and can pay fedex next day service to deliver to your instalation for service and its return.

My unit serial number is 8243AB12F22B4435.

The part that is broken is the gray one, by the screws. You can see it in the attached picture.

Hoping you can grant us a solution, Ill be waiting for your answer.

From experience, Emlid do not offer repair service or spare parts so the RX and RS2 / RS3 are classes as disposable, which is disappointing.

As well as damaging the housing, the fall may have affected the antenna phase centre which will affect accuracy of the measurements taken.

You get what you pay for… but even so, these units should be able to take a beating like Trimble receivers do in the nature of being in the rough field everyday. I.e. R12.

Hopefully any new future model follow this.

They are pretty robust, but in my case it was on a 2m pole with bipod and fell over onto tarmac quite hard.

Trimble R12 are 3 - 4 times the cost though!

Did you check if they have 3D printing file
The you can 3D print it yourself

Or maybe Emlid staff can reply here if they
Have file for the top and bottom to print if someone broke the Reach RX

The 3d CAD .step files are not 3D PRINT READY for a direct replacement even if a temporary solution. The files will need work (with CAD software) to even attempt 3d printing them somewhat properly and will need fasteners / threaded inserts etc implemented in the part(s).

Not impossible by no means, but it’s not a matter of pulling the 3D file in, slicing it and direct to print replacement.

From what i understand, Emlid will not sell replacement parts either… but i have seen them offer via email probably provide those silicone plugs as replacements.
