Me and my coworkers are planning on developing a new flight control firmware to run on Navio, but as our research is focused on high maneuverability for quadrotors, we’d like to know if Navio2 provides support to DShot ESCs.
Navio2 doesn’t support Dshot protocol. However, you can control ESCs using a standard PWM output from Navio2.
cI actaully doubt that there is a major adavantage of DShot over PWM as far as maneuvering is concerned. As far as I have read the (meaningful) sampling rate of the sensors are far to low and that is the bottleneck, not PWM. There are other advantages of DShot, that is no question.
