Hello
I will have a flight next month to a rural place in Greece
As I know there is no known landmark to get my base, and probably no network to get NTRIP.
What is the correct proccedure to get precise base coordinates and then get corrections to my rover ?
Rover and base are Rs2+
Do you need absolute accuracy for this survey or is relative accuracy enough? If absolute accuracy is needed, and you don’t have access to geodetic controls or network corrections, then the only option left is to post-process your data after the flight.
Make sure that the base and the drone are recording logs during the flight. Then, you can use Static Processing in Emlid Studio using a RINEX file from a CORS network (if your country has one) or upload your base logs to a PPP service like NRCAN.
Another approach is to set the base up on site and log some data prior to the flight(s) and post-process it to get an accurate base position, and then set the base up in the same exact place and enter the known coordinates to do RTK during the flight(s). Particularly useful if you’ll be doing multiple flights at the same site over time, as you only have to do the post-processing once instead of every time.
