Hi, I followed the stop and go indications to perform PPK processing later at office. In the field I averaged the base position with input corrections enabled from a CORS network. Upon averaging was done, I let the base station record the satellite observations. I have used a Global CS (which I suppose is WGS84 + ellipsoidal heights) and my base coordinates read an ellipsoidal height of 637.950 meters which seems to be ok as per my checkings.
Nevertheless, when loading Rover and Base data on Emlid Studio I get this data:
Which is off by quite a big difference. Am I doing something wrong? I have checked twice if I was swapping rover and base data but that is not happening (the antenna height is also ok).
The base position in the RINEX header is the last averaged epoch coordinate, which is accurate to a few meters. It is different from the one averaged in Emlid Flow. Thus, your PPK base position may differ by several meters. In this case, I suggest you use the other options and manually enter the coordinates there.
To get a clearer picture of your case, I would like to ask for your receiver’s Full System Report and the sample data of the data where this issue occurred. Note that the Full System Report contains some personal information, so I ask you to send this to our support email address support@emlid.com.
Ok, ok, I see. So I was thinking that after averaging the base position this was taken as the base coordinates by default. Knowing that I will just enter coordinates by hand.
May I ask, why is this that way by design? I must be missing something!
