Another suggestion, do you think that is possible to include the point name in the file description as something optional with a check box? when you have several observations in a day and you have to organize your final work, that will help.

Can you elaborate on how you would use this feature? Do you have multiple points and would like to be able to select the marker name for each of them without ending the log?
